Biography: I am a retired professor of Psychology who taught at Old Dominion University for 37 years. Several years prior to retiring I became interested in learning about clay sculpture. Over the years I have taken a variety of ceramic classes and workshops from nationally known ceramic artists, including Philippe Faraut, Beth Cavener, and Tom Bartel. I have had pieces in a number of local shows in the Tidewater Virginia area, and in the “Wild Things” 2009 show at Annemarie Gardens Gallery in Solomons, Maryland. I have won a variety of awards for my work including the Best in Show award at the Prime Plus art show in Norfolk in 2019.
