White Stoneware, Flashing Slip, Soda Fired Cone 10 SJD2 Jenna Schmidt is a central Ohio native who, currently, is a second-year graduate candidate at the University of Mississippi. After the completion of her B.F.A in ceramics at Ohio University in 2020, she attended several residencies, including one at the Red Lodge Clay Center. Jenna creates functional pottery that is fired in atmospheric kilns. Currently, her focus is on how to create gesture and imbalance occur naturally through utilizing different building processes. As of this year, her work has been exhibited in The Charlie Cummings Gallery, Companion Gallery, Good Earth Pottery, and The River Oaks Square Art Center.
