Hand built Stoneware, slip, glaze, cone 6 oxidation. Birdie Boone is a ceramic artist and educator from southwest Virginia. She holds an MFA in Ceramics from UMassDartmouth, 2005 and an AB in Fine Arts from the College of William and Mary in Virginia (1993). Birdie has taught various aspects of ceramics at every level of learning, from community to college level classes, craft schools and beyond. Currently, she is a mentor/instructor for Clay Cohorts and maintains a strong studio practice that grows along with her own personal experiences. You can find her at birdiebooneceramics (dot) com.
