This is a one-day workshop that combines educational topics with innovative sensory exploration! Each child and their accompanying parent/caregiver will push, pinch, roll, squish and play with the clay while learning about everything from letters and basic spelling, to planets in our solar system! Your child will gain sensory development and motor skills and walk away with a wonderful work of art! All projects will be fired and packaged for pickup in approximately 3-weeks. This class is for children ages 6 through 12, and adults of all ages.

Registration fee covers 1 adult + 1 child and includes all materials and firing.

Instructor: Sara Hutton

Baltimore based ceramic artist, Sara Hutton, has been working in clay for 10 years. She is a graduate of Towson University with a BFA in Ceramics and is currently working towards her MFA in Studio Art. Before graduate school, Sara worked as an art studio technician at a community college. She currently works as youth art instructor. After graduate school, she plans to continue teaching, as well as continuing her own studio practice.
